I have a question: why is a starting oil system required for the quick-shut valve of a turbine steam engine? Why isn’t a compression spring for the quick-shut oil used instead? Thank you!!!1
I also want to know; I only know that the start oil is set to fully off, and the quick-shut oil is used to push open the quick-shut valve
The start oil is fully closed, while the quick-shut oil is used to push open the quick-shut valve – which is safer than using a spring, as springs can deform permanently
Our compressor continuously controls the oil flow; during normal operation, the oil pressure holds back the spring, and when the solenoid valve operates, the control oil is used to release pressure so that the spring closes
