Valves shall be inspected before installation; the inspection items, quantities, and methods are clearly specified in 4.0.3 and 4.0.4 of the \"GB 50184-2011 Code for Acceptance of Construction Quality of Industrial Metal Piping Projects\". When there are special requirements, the test medium shall comply with the provisions of the design documents. 2 The test pressure for the valve housing shall be 1.5 times the maximum allowable operating pressure of the valve at 20°C ; The sealing test pressure shall be 1.1 times the maximum allowable operating pressure of the valve at 20°C ; When the valve nameplate indicates that a high-pressure sealing test is not suitable for the maximum operating pressure difference or the actuator supplied with the valve, the test pressure shall be 1.1 times the maximum operating pressure difference indicated on the valve nameplate ; The upper sealing test pressure for the valve should be 1.1 times the valve’s maximum allowable operating pressure at 20°C ; The test pressure for the jacket portion of a jacketed valve should be 1.5 times the design pressure. 3 The duration under test pressure shall not be less than 5 min. 4 The pressure test of the valve housing shall be considered successful if there is no leakage from the housing gasket. The valve sealing test and the upper sealing test are considered successful if there is no leakage at the sealing surfaces. 5 Number of inspections: It shall comply with the following provisions: 1) Valves used in GC1-class pipelines and pipelines for Class C fluids with a design pressure of 10 MPa or higher shall be subject to 100% inspection. 2) For valves used in GC2 class pipelines and all Class C fluid pipelines with a design pressure of less than 10 MPa, 10% of each inspection lot shall be sampled, with a minimum of 1 valve per lot. 3) For valves used in GC3 class pipelines and Class D fluid pipelines, 5% of each inspection lot shall be sampled randomly, with a minimum of 1 valve. 6 Inspection methods: Visual inspection, examination of valve test records, and review of water quality analysis reports.
