Our company currently has a flue gas ammonia-based desulfurization unit. The ammonia nitrogen content in the evaporated condensate from the sulfuric acid AN solution is around 300, the COD level is around 2000, the pH is around 6, the hardness is around 1500, the temperature is around 60 degrees Celsius, and the water flow rate is around 200 tons per hour. To ensure the stable operation of the ammonia-based desulfurization unit, we plan to treat this condensate before feeding it into the desulfurization tower as make-up water for evaporation (or sending it to a desalination unit for desalination to produce desalinated water). Are there any relatively mature water treatment processes in the country?
The condensed liquid resulting from the evaporation of the slurry contains other impurities; when it is reused over a long period of time, the accumulation of these impurities has a significant impact on the crystallization of sulfuric acid an. The idea is to treat this portion of the condensate before sending it to the desulfurization tower for use as evaporation makeup water, or to use it in the production of ammonia.
With such high hardness, reusing it can easily cause blockages in desulfurization equipment. It is best to reuse it after reducing its hardness.
