What kind of pipe material can be used as a substitute? For L245NS, I checked and found that the standard treatment is normalizing, and the operating environment is acidic.

Thank you for the answer from above; after searching for so long, I still can’t figure out which type of pipe it is most similar to. There are many online claims that it is similar to 20#, but it’s not clear whether it can be used as a substitute.
Ordinary 20# steel definitely won’t work; only controlled rolling steel will do. There are also many manufacturers producing it domestically now; it’s just unclear whether the quantity you need will interest them.
L245NS is a material grade specified in GB/T9711. Normalizing treatment, used in conditions with hydrogen sulfide. The materials are indeed hard to find, and even if they are purchased, their S and P content may not meet the standards
This substitution depends on where the medium is used; generally, the media transported through long-distance pipelines undergo desulfurization treatment before transmission, so such high-grade materials are not required. If it is not used for long-distance transmission, it can be completely replaced with other materials. Regardless of the conveying medium, it’s quite difficult to find a replacement material on its own, as the requirements for this material are very high. If low-temperature impact tests are required, L245NS has extremely strict specifications regarding the chemical composition of the steel pipe: the levels of C (less than 0.14%), S (0.003%), P (0.02%), and carbon equivalent (0.36%) are all much higher than those required for Q245R. In addition, HIC/SWC testing requirements have been specified for the material. L245NS can be used for both welded and seamless pipes according to the standards; in my opinion, if the pipe diameter is not large, material meeting the requirements of Appendix B specified in GB9948 grade 20# can be used as a substitute. Furthermore, the sulfur content must be less than 0.003%, and HIC resistance testing is also required. If it is not used for long-distance transmission, 20#GB9948 can be used without any additional requirements
