Now I will explain the entire process of making this judgment, in the hope of improving together with everyone: Fault symptom: The secondary display shows “NO VALUES FROM SCALE”, but when I press the ASSIGN button, I cannot proceed to the next menu. Why is that? Judgment process: 1. Determine whether there is a problem with the sensors at the site? There are a total of 8 sensors on site. Based on our assessment, even if there are issues with the sensors on site, we should still be able to see the status of each sensor on the secondary meter; currently, this phenomenon is clearly not related to the sensors. 2. Determine whether there are any issues with the main board or other components in the on-site junction box? It is difficult for maintenance personnel in a company to determine whether the motherboard is good or not. However, there is a simple and practical method: we replaced the motherboard with a spare one, but the problem persisted; thus, the issue was ruled out as being related to the motherboard. 3. Determine whether the instrument cable is functioning properly? There are a total of 6 instrument cables: 2 for instrument power and 4 for instrument signals. For these 6 cables, we conducted tests using a multimeter, and it was confirmed that they are all in good condition; in other words, there are no issues with the cables. 4. Determine whether the secondary meter is functioning properly? Since we have 2 scale units, and one of them is working fine, we swapped the secondary meters of these two scales. As a result, when the faulty secondary meter was used on the other scale unit, the same problem occurred. When a secondary display from a good scale is used on a faulty scale, it can show information related to the sensor. Therefore, it is preliminarily judged to be a problem with the secondary meter. In summary: no matter what problems arise on site, as long as we organize our thoughts and investigate step by step, we will definitely be able to find the cause; it just takes some time.
