As the title suggests, in the design of my unit, I have installed water injection (desalinated water) and 1.0 MPa steam at the flue gas outlet of the regenerator to prevent the flue gas from overheating. I would like to ask for everyone’s opinions on the following: 1. Does your company use this approach? 2. Determine how frequently this process should be activated; in my opinion, it should not operate under normal conditions, but water should be sprayed automatically when the temperature rises too high. 3. Does the injected steam/desalinated water have an impact on the flue gas fan or the triple rotor?
Regarding 2. Setting the frequency at which this process is activated, in my opinion it should not be activated under normal conditions, and water should be sprayed automatically when the temperature rises too high. In terms of process design, H2O and steam should be sprayed simultaneously; the steam is used to atomize (vaporize) the water. Both H2O and steam enter the flue in gaseous form, on an intermittent basis, with little impact on the flue gas and the three spin elements.

The process has never been put into use to date. It is said that the leader’s business trip coincided with the time when others put the equipment into use, which caused vibrations in the smoke extractor to reach a critical level, thereby creating a psychological burden. It is designed for temperature control, with the dual valves following a hierarchical control concept. When enabled, steam is used first followed by water; when disabled, the order is reversed. 3. During the subsequent technical upgrades, we connected steam at the inlet of the three-spinners, but not water. It’s rarely used; I’ve used it once, and the results were okay. It has little impact on what comes later.
