What is the function of the efficiency tower? Why does the air intake volume of the air compressor decrease after installing an efficiency tower?

The efficiency-enhancing tower is the one attached to the main tower; it is also known as the crude argon tower. When the main tower is under high load, it becomes difficult to maintain the purity of the product. Due to the presence of argon, the crude argon tower allows for the removal of the argon fraction, and oxygen and argon are separated within this tower, thereby ensuring the purity of the oxygen
With the efficiency tower in place, efficiency and extraction rate increase naturally, resulting in less air being required
The efficiency tower is installed to increase the oxygen extraction rate without producing liquid argon~~ it’s basically equivalent to a crude argon tower~~

In the northwest or Inner Mongolia, there is almost no market for liquid argon; therefore, air separation plants generally do not have argon systems installed. However, to increase the oxygen extraction rate, argon towers designed to enhance efficiency are used~~
