After our company’s coking unit was shut down, the double-flange flow meter was removed, and it was found that the primary valve and the short pipes were completely blocked, with some of the flange diaphragm boxes damaged. What is generally done to such flange instruments after oil processing units are shut down?
I’m not very familiar with the petrochemical industry, but for our wedge-type flow meters used in fine chemicals, it is generally necessary to drain and purge the system after it is shut down.
What are the typical ranges for viscosity, density, temperature, and flow rate? Is this style more suitable?
Both target flowmeters and vortex flowmeters are of poor quality; they are not recommended for use.

In chemical production, the issue of blockages is something that is quite common in the field of instrumentation. 1. What principle is used for measurement? (It should be based on the differential pressure principle, but please still explain it; guessing isn’t fun.) 2. What medium is being measured? (Temperature, pressure, viscosity, etc.) 3. How are the on-site measurement instruments configured? (It would be best if photos could be provided)
