Henan University of Technology is located in Zhengzhou, an important regional center city in China as well as the political, economic, and cultural hub of Henan Province. 　　The predecessor of Henan University of Technology, the Central Grain Cadre School, was established in 1956 with the approval of the State Council as the only university in China dedicated to grain engineering. It is the only institution in Asia that trains specialists in science and technology, as well as in economic management, for the grain, oil, and food industry.
