I would like to ask: when water is sprayed in front of the MVR compressor to reduce the superheat of the steam, how can it be ensured that all of the sprayed water enters the compressor? Could it accumulate at the compressor inlet? If so, how should this water be removed when a negative pressure is applied at the inlet?
Add a water collection tank at the inlet, which can be connected to the system or isolated; after water is collected, it can be discharged
Do you mean adding collection tanks to gather a certain amount of water before releasing it into the air? I’m not quite sure; where is this type of setup usually used?
Spraying water to remove superheat before the outlet of an MVR compressor is unreasonable! There are technical considerations regarding the location of this water spray; the amount of water released is practically negligible. Moreover, the design of the system’s piping allows it to prevent the accumulation of water caused by condensation in the pipes as well as by the water spray itself.
The water injection for the compressor should be done at the back; there is no accumulation in this area, as the water injected there will vaporize instantly.
Inlet spraying or outlet spraying? What kind of water is being sprayed? What type of compressor?
