In electrodialysis, the water injection rate for crude oil does not exceed 3–5%. Does this amount of water refer only to the water injected, or is it the sum of the water already present in the crude oil, the water from the demulsifier, and the water injected?
Generally, the water content of crude oil entering a plant or tank should not exceed 0.5%. The water injection volume refers to the additional water added from the outside; this water should be clean water free of salts.
