Why are industrial nitrogen pipelines painted yellow instead of black? I remember when I worked at a chemical plant, they used black paint; isn’t it more reasonable to use black paint (ignoring the regulations)?
I’ve seen several hydrogenation units, with all the nitrogen pipelines painted yellow.
Our earliest production units were painted black, while since the factory was built in 2000, they have all been painted yellow.
Yellow is a warning color, while black tends to cause people to overlook it; therefore, yellow is a good choice for nitrogen lines.
It is usually standardized by the company in accordance with the basic principles of petrochemical companies; the safety color for N2 is yellow
