It is composed of hollow tubes or filled tubes with a relatively large length-to-diameter ratio, and can be used to carry out gas-phase reactions as well as liquid-phase reactions. ②Kettle reactor. It consists of cylindrical containers with a small length-to-diameter ratio, and is often equipped with mechanical or gas-flow stirring devices; it can be used for single-phase liquid-phase reactions as well as multi-phase reactions such as liquid-liquid, gas-liquid, and gas-liquid-solid reactions. Those used in gas-liquid phase reaction processes are called bubble-stirred tanks (see bubble reactor) ; Those used in gas-liquid-solid phase reaction processes are called stirred-tank slurry reactors. ③A reactor with a solid particle bed. Gases or (and) liquids pass through a bed of fixed or moving solid particles to carry out multiphase reaction processes, including fixed-bed reactors, fluidized-bed reactors, moving-bed reactors, trickle-bed reactors, etc. ④Tower reactor. Tower-type equipment used to carry out gas-liquid or liquid-liquid reaction processes, including packed towers, tray towers, bubble columns, etc. (see color illustrations).
