I have a question: where can I find information on the wall thickness of tees in the 2000 Code for Management published by the Northeast Electric Power Design Institute? We now want to use equal-diameter hot-pressed tees with a DN1400 size, at 2.5 Mpa pressure and made of Q235B material. According to the formula for calculating wall thickness based on the opening size, the required wall thickness is 38 mm. The manufacturer says that there is no steel plate of such thickness – is that correct?/
For isodiametric hot-pressed tees, why is it still necessary to perform reinforcement calculations based on the openings?
For this pressure rating, isn’t it necessary to use low-alloy steel such as Q345, which would reduce the wall thickness?

What thickness have you chosen for the wall of your DN1400, PN25 pipe? It is completely possible to choose a pipe wall thickness of the same pressure rating! Section 7.2.1 of SH3059-2012 stipulates that the material, pressure rating, or wall thickness specifications of fittings such as elbows, tees, reducers, and pipe caps shall be the same as or equivalent to those of the pipes they are connected to! In my opinion, since you have chosen a tee connection that involves welding together, and not a socket weld connection, there is no need for reinforcement; you can simply select it based on the thickness of your pipe wall
