I heard it’s to avoid damaging the internal components due to direct welding of the valve body, but isn’t the built-in straight pipe section welded on as well? Thank you.

In fact, the manufacturer increases the length of the connecting pipe and then processes the valve body; in this way, the welding joint is not affected by welding deformation. Additionally, this length also needs to be taken into account when considering heat treatment for the weld joint

But if it’s missed, whose responsibility is it? Does it fail quality checks at the manufacturer’s facility? Was there any damage during transportation? Did on-site welding damage the sealing material? Anyway, in the end the manufacturer still has to come to the site for technical support or send the materials again, which is very troublesome.
