I have 2 years of work experience as a junior engineer; I’m 28 years old. Currently, I’m working in a second-tier city near Shanghai. I have received two job offers with similar salary packages. The details of the jobs are as follows: At a domestic listed company (a leader in its industry), I would work as a product engineer, focusing on anti-static and cleanroom-related products – areas that are related to my field of study. The main responsibilities would involve improving the performance and manufacturing processes of these products, which is purely a technical role. Sino-US joint venture (US-owned): A technical services role involving thermal carrier oils; this position does not align much with my previous experience and expertise. It focuses mainly on communication with people, similar to sales-oriented technical work. I’m torn; I hope fellow entomologists can offer some guidance. Thank you so much! ! !
Personally, I think the first option is more suitable; it would be better if companies formed through Sino-US partnerships could focus on technical positions rather than just sales roles
