The second phase is adjacent to the first phase. There are three towers for which pilings need to be installed, and these locations are only about 10 meters away from the existing facility. The piles to be used are AB-type piles with a diameter of 400 mm and a depth of 17 meters. In order to save money, we would like to use hammer-driven pilings, but both the piling company and the design firm oppose this idea, suggesting that static pressure pilings or mixing piles should be used instead, as these methods will not cause any vibrations to the existing facility. Is it possible to use hammer-driven pilings in this case? Thank you!
The national regulations prohibit it; however, it is acceptable if the device next to you has not been manufactured.

Hammer-driven piles are also an option, but appropriate measures must be taken to prevent the vibrations generated by hammering from affecting the operation of existing equipment; this can be achieved by installing isolation trenches or by shutting down the existing equipment to create a construction window.
