The quality of the previous installation components was used elsewhere; now that we’ve switched to vortex flow meters, can they be installed in this way? Also, the vortex flow meters have a diameter of 1 inch, while the liquid pipeline has a diameter of 1/2 inch. So, use a flange welded with 1/2 turn and 1-inch diameter; the straight pipe section ahead has a 1-inch diameter but is only 10d long. However, the 1/2 inch straight pipe section is quite long – is this acceptable?

It’s possible; during installation, make sure it’s fully seated, and maintain a distance of 10 units in front and 5 units behind
Could you please tell me about the medium being measured and some of the operating conditions at the site? Based solely on the flow direction from bottom to top as described by the poster, I think it might not be appropriate

Installing it from bottom to top is no problem; although it’s not installed horizontally, it still works. The diameter of your flow tube is twice that of the liquid pipeline, so it probably won’t work very well – the flow rate of the liquid is too low, and the vortex flow meter is unable to measure it
Sure, no problem; I guarantee full pipes and straight sections.
It can be installed vertically, with the liquid flowing from bottom to top (and the gas from top to bottom); however, this involves tube expansion, and the pipe section ahead must be larger than 35D, while the subsequent pipe section must be larger than 5D
Desalinated water, please! Install a filter in front of the turbine; it’s simple to maintain, or an electromagnetic one can be used
