Ultra-low levels are quite simple to achieve; the key issue is price. At present, desulfurization is still carried out using wet methods, with the problems lying in the liquid-to-gas ratio and the contact time between the flue gas and the reactants. For dust control, wet electrostatic precipitators are primarily used; there are specialized manufacturers for these devices, which are usually made of conductive fiberglass. For nitrogen oxides, SCR technology needs to be considered. However, circulating fluidized bed boilers can achieve this through the modification of low-nitrogen combustion and SNCR processes, as well as by adjusting the circulation ratio.
Ultra-low emission standards have been implemented in many areas across the country since 2014. The several cases we have handled involve ultra-low emissions; dust removal is achieved using low-temperature electrostatic precipitators or wet electrostatic precipitators after desulfurization. Desulfurization is carried out employing single-tower dual-circulation systems or integrated technologies that combine tower spraying with enhanced efficiency, while the engineering parameters for nitrogen oxide removal meet all the requirements of ultra-low emission standards.
