Head and shell of heat exchanger

I first calculated the thickness of the shell cylinder, and then, to simplify things, I simply said that I wanted a standard elliptical head; as a result, the thickness of the head calculated was smaller than that of the shell cylinder. Can I make the head thickness and the shell cylinder thickness approximately equal by increasing the corrosion margin? Can I add corrosion margin as I please?
The corrosion margin depends on the properties of the medium and the corrosion rate. The general process is provided when the parameters are given.
Just for the sake of easier manufacturing, it’s fine to just choose the same one; after all, there won’t be much difference. There’s also a reduction in thickness for the end caps, so keep that in mind
The head will thin out during forming, so the minimum thickness must be taken into account
