However, many problems arise in actual operation, such as wear and high noise levels; therefore, it is necessary to improve the related technology to enhance efficiency and achieve economic benefits. The degree of wear mainly depends on the wear resistance of the equipment materials, pressure, operating speed, etc.; generally, abrasive wear and frictional wear are more severe. The following mainly analyzes the problems and causes related to rod tube wear and worn wells. Problems and causes related to gears: Gears are the parts of a high-vacuum discharge pump that are most prone to wear during operation. The main reasons for this are as follows: first, wear caused by small particles, with the gears rotating at high speeds leading to severe wear on the end surfaces of the shaft sleeves. Secondly, there is gear shaft wear caused by the effect of centrifugal inertial forces; during rotation, the radial clearance of the shaft leads to frictional wear. Problems and causes related to sealing: The mechanical seal functions as the heart of the pump; axial movement, wear, and either excessive or insufficient compression can all affect the lifespan of the seal. If proper maintenance is not carried out, leakage will occur.
