We have one unit that requires a quote by tomorrow. I earnestly ask for guidance from those who are more experienced! Heat source: Hot water at 65~80°C. Heating medium: Syrup, with a temperature of 40~45°C before heating and 47~58°C after heating. Syrup flow rate: 25 m3/h. The heat exchange tubes are made of 304 stainless steel. What is the required heat exchange area? Could the experts provide a calculation formula or method? Thank you so much!
Judging from your conditions, it doesn’t seem like you’re serious about doing engineering work: (1) 25 m/h – that’s not correct; (2) What kind of sugar is in the syrup? . . . . . .
I’m sorry: 1. I didn’t notice that the prefix 3 isn’t displayed for 1 cubic meter per hour. 2. It’s syrup used in the sugar factory’s production process; the density and specific heat capacity haven’t been determined yet. Could you please give me some guidance? Thank you!
It seems this calculation isn’t meant for process design; it’s quite complicated, and the values of some parameters require experience to determine
There has to be some concentration to the thickness of syrup, right?
Roughly estimate it to be 20 square meters; there’s a formula for this in chemical engineering principles
It’s hard to explain in just a few words; roughly, it’s about 40 square meters.
Find someone skilled in this field who knows how to use HTFS, and they’ll get it done for you quickly.
