For pressure vessels, the port of the level gauge is too small and it won’t fit in – what should be done? Are there any good methods?
Another mating flange can be added along with an elbow to increase the nominal diameter of the pipe opening.
Making openings in pressure vessels without the proper permits is a violation of regulations, and causing accidents as a result is illegal.
Find a qualified manufacturer to cut it larger; if it’s only slightly smaller, recalculate and drill the inner hole bigger, on the condition that the thickness of the pipe after drilling still meets the strength requirements!
Even if you hire a qualified company to carry out the legal modifications, it’s not ideal either; you should be aware of a range of issues. It’s better to change the way the level gauge works
The level gauge can be replaced with another type; replacing the level gauge is much easier than modifying the equipment itself
It depends on the specific operating conditions of the equipment, such as the medium, temperature, pressure, volume, etc.; careful consideration is required
