On the morning of May 18, the “40·60” project at Tianze Chemical’s industrial park in Beiliuzhou Village, Jincheng, Shanxi Province, began operating at full capacity. This marks the point at which Tianze Group’s main products can now be produced at a rate of 1.8 million tons of synthetic ammonia, 3 million tons of urea, and 300,000 tons of methanol per year. The group’s output value exceeds 5 billion yuan, and its urea production capacity accounts for 5% of China’s total demand for this product, placing it among the “20 large nitrogen fertilizer enterprise groups with core competitive strengths in China”. Wu Hongwen, Secretary of the Jincheng Municipal Party Committee and Executive Vice Mayor, attended the commissioning ceremony and announced that the “40·60” project had officially gone into operation. Guo Yuefeng, deputy chairman of the Municipal Political Consultative Conference, attended the commissioning ceremony. Tianze Chemical’s “40·60” project is a facility with an annual production capacity of 400,000 tons of ammonia alcohol and 600,000 tons of large-grain urea. It is considered a key project at both the provincial and municipal levels, as well as a model project for the transformation and comprehensive reform in our city. The total investment in the project is 2.1 billion yuan. The urea production facility is located in the eastern area of the coal gasification plant, and it was put into operation in July 2013. The daily urea production has consistently remained above 2,700 tons. The ammonia alcohol plant is located in the western factory area, covering an area of 280.78 mu. Construction began on June 17, 2015, and was completed successfully after 11 months. Following the chemical feed-in trial run on April 21, 2016, the plant is now in the full-scale production phase, with the goal of achieving full capacity and efficiency by the third quarter. With the commissioning of this new facility, it is expected to generate an additional annual revenue of 2.36 billion yuan and profits and taxes of 400 million yuan. It will also enable the processing of 1 million tons of coal locally, creating 800 new job opportunities. Following the commissioning ceremony, Wu Hongwen went to the project site to gain a detailed understanding of its basic situation. Wu Hongwen demanded that Tianze Chemical should take into account its own actual conditions, accurately grasp changes in market demand, innovate its institutional mechanisms, tap into internal potential, strengthen technological upgrades, reduce production costs, and continuously improve product quality and its competitive edge in the market, striving to become a model for the supply-side structural reform in our city.
