Recently, while running processes on the device, I encountered a gate valve with a short circuit in front of its large cover! I would like to ask the teachers what kind of gate valve this is and how it differs from ordinary gate valves Thank you!
I need to see the previous picture before I can say anything; how can anyone give you an answer like that?

The flue gas valves in sulfur recovery burners are sulfur-resistant valves; due to the high temperatures involved, internal cooling water is used to cool the valve elements. I’m not sure if you’re referring to a different type of valve. In our previous sulfur recovery processes, hydrogen sulfide was burned in an oxygen-deficient environment to produce sulfur dioxide and sulfur, and then the sulfur dioxide was reduced back to hydrogen sulfide through hydrogenation, haha

That’s called a pilot valve, and its function is very simple. If the catalyst becomes clogged or has poor flow, short-circuiting can relieve the pressure.
