In response to President Yu’s reply – could it be that HaiChuan’s number has been stolen? In a post from yesterday, Lao Yu asked me whether my Haichuan account had been stolen; I almost laughed out loud. In the end I did laugh, but it wasn’t because of the silly, superficial question Lao Yu asked – definitely not. What made me laugh was the fact that there are hardly any people like Lao Yu and other experts in the Haichuan community who are so passionate about learning, about technology, and about their beliefs that they would steal accounts to access technical websites. There are virtually no such people; at least none among those I know. I believe that in this society, a small community reflects the larger society as a whole – one can draw conclusions from individual cases. I once shared my account details with others or logged in to it in public places; I was busy with work and didn’t log off in time. When I got off work, the page was still there, with no one browsing it or closing it. It can be said that Haichuan serves as a place where aspiring engineers can calm their restless minds and hone their skills, in a corner that goes unnoticed by most people. A walled city that only one can enter, with no one else ever able to get in.
