Dear experts, there is a type of oil with a density of 0.73, an octane rating of 86, and a sulfur content of 180. As for other parameters such as vapor pressure and gum content, they are 15/2 (while the standard for Grade IV gasoline is less than or equal to 30/5). All other parameters related to the processing process and copper corrosion also fall within the specifications for Grade IV gasoline. The main goal is to raise the octane rating to over 93 and reduce sulfur content to below 130. Which component oils yield a better blend? Alkylated oil? Aromatic oil? Or... please give me some advice
Alkylated oils have a high octane rating and low sulfur content, making them suitable for blending. Aromatic oil, also known as aromatics or aromatic hydrocarbons, refers to hydrocarbons that contain benzene ring structures in their molecules. It is one of the basic products and key raw materials in the petrochemical industry, including benzene, toluene and xylene, ethylbenzene, etc. Since many of these compounds discovered in the early stages of history had an aromatic smell, these hydrocarbons were named aromatic hydrocarbons; even those hydrocarbons discovered later that did not have an aromatic smell continued to be referred to using this same term. Such as benzene, naphthalene, etc. The general formula for benzene homologs is CnH2n-6 (n≥6).
All of these need to be added; MTBE is also required. Excessive amounts of alkylating agents will result in unacceptable process conditions and vapor pressures
