Fire engineer

Article 12: Eligibility requirements for the examination to become a Level 1 Certified Fire Engineer: (1) Hold an associate degree in fire engineering, with at least 6 years of work experience, of which at least 4 years should be spent in fire safety-related work； Alternatively, one must have an associate degree in a field related to fire protection engineering (see Attachment 1; the same applies hereafter), with at least 7 years of work experience, of which at least 5 years must be spent in fire safety-related work. 　　(II) Hold a bachelor’s degree in fire protection engineering, with at least 4 years of work experience, of which at least 3 years are spent in fire safety-related work ； Alternatively, one must have a bachelor’s degree in a field related to fire protection engineering, with 5 years of work experience, of which at least 4 years should be spent in fire safety-related work. 　　(III) Hold a double bachelor’s degree including in fire protection engineering, or have graduated from a graduate program, with at least 3 years of work experience, of which at least 2 years should be spent in fire safety-related work ； Alternatively, one may have a double bachelor’s degree in a field related to fire protection engineering or have graduated from a graduate program, with at least 4 years of work experience, of which at least 3 years must be spent in fire safety-related work. 　　(IV) Hold a master’s degree in fire protection engineering, with at least 2 years of work experience, including at least 1 year in fire safety technology-related work ； Alternatively, one must hold a master’s degree in a field related to fire protection engineering, and have at least 3 years of work experience, of which at least 2 years should be spent in fire safety-related work. 　　(5) Hold a doctoral degree in fire protection engineering, and have at least 1 year of experience in fire safety technology work ； Alternatively, one must have a doctoral degree in a field related to fire protection engineering, or have worked in fire safety technology for at least 2 years. 　　(6) For those who have obtained corresponding academic qualifications or degrees in other fields, their work experience as well as their experience in fire safety technology work shall each be increased by 1 year. 　　Article 13: Eligibility requirements for the examination to become a Level 2 Registered Fire Engineer: (1) Hold an associate degree in fire protection engineering and have at least 3 years of experience in fire safety-related work ； Or have an associate degree in a fire engineering-related field, and have at least 4 years of experience working in fire safety technology. 　　(II) Hold an associate degree in fire protection engineering and have at least 2 years of experience in fire safety technology work ； Or possess an associate degree in a field related to fire protection engineering, with at least 3 years of experience in fire safety technology work. 　　(III) Hold a bachelor’s degree in fire protection engineering, and have at least 1 year of experience in fire safety technical work ； Alternatively, one must have a bachelor’s degree in a field related to fire protection engineering, or have worked in fire safety technology for at least 2 years. 　　(IV) For those who have obtained a corresponding academic qualification or degree in another field, the number of years of experience in fire safety technology work is increased by 1 year accordingly.
