Can a Venturi anemometer still measure flow rate in reverse flow?

For general fans, the air delivery flow rate is usually measured using a venturi meter. If the air in the pipeline flows in reverse, will the flow meter show that? Which friend has experienced this? I earnestly ask for your guidance.
There is no flow display; after backflow, the pressure at the inlet remains higher than that at the outlet. In other words, the pressure on the negative side is higher than that on the positive side, which results in a negative flow value. However, flow meters do not display negative values, so no flow is shown. My personal understanding, for discussion.
