Recently, our plant has been facing problems due to high levels of COS in the liquid desulfurized alcohol liquefied gas; this has been going on for almost 20 years now, and we haven’t been able to find a solution each time. Our factory has always believed it is related to the type of crude oil being processed.
It can be partially removed by the COS alkali washing method. The disulfides brought in by the raw materials cannot be essentially removed through alkaline washing. Cos requires a hydrolysis method to be completely removed. Refined removal by disulfide adsorption method. Ultimately, it’s necessary to consider the indicators and costs; there is no issue with the deep desulfurization technology for liquefied gas.
How long are you going to drag this out? We remove the COS first through stripping, followed by hydrolysis and final removal. Our technology works very well for meeting the stringent impurity requirements in isobutane dehydrogenation. It only works for alkanes; it’s more complicated with alkenes
