China National Coal Technology & Engineering Group Clean Energy Co., Ltd. is dedicated to the research, development, and promotion of technologies for producing high-concentration water-coal slurries from low-grade coal; it can provide users with comprehensive support in the form of technical equipment, project construction, investment and operation services, as well as other specialized resources. In view of the quality characteristics of low-rank coals such as those from the Shenfu coal deposit, China National Coal Technology & Engineering Group Clean Energy Co., Ltd. has developed a new generation of patented technology that is at the international leading level – the Sanfeng fractal grading slurry preparation technology. Through measures such as graded grinding, particle size control, and Sanfeng grading, this technology can significantly increase the concentration of the coal slurry, greatly improve its fluidity, stability, and atomization performance. China Coal Shaanxi Yulin Energy Chemical Co., Ltd. plans to produce 3.6 million tons of methanol per year and 1.35 million tons of polyolefins per year, with construction taking place in two phases. The first phase of the project involves a polyolefin production capacity of 600,000 tons per year; it came online in July 2014, setting multiple records for facilities of similar scale, including a short construction period, high safety standards, excellent quality, rapid commissioning, and swift achievement of operational efficiency. Recently, in order to further expand the range of raw material options, improve the quality of water-coal slurry, reduce energy consumption in the gasification system, and increase the system’s production capacity, China Coal Shaanxi Yulin Energy & Chemical Co., Ltd. signed a contract with China Coal Science & Technology Clean Energy Co., Ltd. regarding the licensing of patent technology for the Sanfeng fractal grading slurry preparation process, as well as related patented equipment. This project is currently the industrial production facility in China that utilizes thickening technology on the largest scale, with the most advanced technology, the largest capacity per unit, and the most reliable equipment operation; it is expected to come online by the end of April 2017. The successful implementation of this project will not only bring substantial economic benefits to China National Coal Group Shaanxi Company, but it will also serve as a positive example for the promotion and application of new technologies in water-coal slurry preparation; it holds great milestone significance in the development of coal chemical industry in China.
