What is the maximum temperature tolerance of the main flue in a coking plant’s coke ovens? Can it withstand a temperature of 1000 degrees? Who can analyze it based on the insulation materials and structure of the main flue? @angryant, wangshaobo
The insulation layer of the side flues in the coke oven is only about 70 mm thick, while the main flue has no insulation layer at all. According to the specifications for heat-resistant concrete, its operating temperature must not exceed 150 degrees! If the flue gas temperature reaches 1000 degrees, my preliminary estimate is that the thickness of the insulation layer and the refractory brick layer should be between 460 and 500! ! For reference only! !
Why consider that the main flue should withstand temperatures of 1000 degrees? What is the idea behind it?
Our company specializes in the production of ceramic fiber high-insulation materials, custom-shaped components, high-temperature mortars, fiber surface coatings and hardeners, electric ceramic stove insulation pads, and refractory bricks. It should be fine with a temperature tolerance of 500 degrees; the inner layer of the main flue is made of 120mm-thick clay-based refractory bricks, while the outer layer is composed of 120mm-thick machine-made red bricks
