Fluorine is toxic; it seems that wastewater discharge regulations require the fluoride level to be below 1 ppm. Not long ago, an industrial area in Ordos had to treat large quantities of fluoride-containing wastewater on a centralized basis. However, their fluorine content is basically between 5 and 10 only; yours is too high. It seems that the common method is to precipitate fluoride ions using lime water. It’s not clear exactly how low the levels can be reduced; if meeting the emission standards is required, resins could be considered. Our company has specialized fluoride-removing resins. For imported resins, we need to consider which brand to choose. Purit’s products don’t work well – they are unable to reduce the fluoride level below 1 ppm. Dow’s products also fall short, and Lanxess’s products have their limitations as well with poor performance. The specifics regarding Dow’s products aren’t clear to us. We have this product of our own, which offers excellent fluoride removal capabilities, enabling the level to be reduced below 1 ppm. However, its regenerating agent is different from those used abroad; still, our price is only half of that of similar foreign products. The prices of foreign products are at least over 100,000 per cubic meter. We’re not sure what the results were of the experiments conducted by our colleagues in the technical department.
