Notice on Convening the 2016 China New Coal Gasification and Related Technology Innovation and Development Conference To all relevant entities: Under the new normal of the economy, coal chemical projects play a particularly important role in promoting economic development and industry restructuring. In accordance with the **13th Five-Year Plan for the Deep Processing of Coal**, which is based on principles such as acting in line with available resources, applying the strictest environmental protection standards, achieving energy efficiency and high performance, ensuring scientific planning, and fostering independent innovation, coal chemical projects will continue to be developed. Vigorously developing clean coal technology and making efficient and clean use of China’s coal resources holds extreme strategic significance for promoting the coordinated development of energy and the environment. After years of development, China’s modern coal chemical industry is at the forefront of the world in terms of technological innovation and industrialization. Significant breakthroughs have been achieved in technological innovation, with a range of key technologies and equipment that are leading internationally developed. Among them, significant progress has been made in coal gasification technology, with innovations such as multi-nozzle opposed gasification, aerospace powder coal gasification, water-cooled wall water-coal slurry gasification, and two-stage dry coal powder pressurization. Promote the development of gasification technology toward larger-scale plants, simpler operation, higher efficiency, and longer operational cycles. In order to promote the exchange and learning of modern coal chemical technology, as well as to advance the application and dissemination of new coal gasification technologies in China, China Chemical Industry News will hold the 2016 China New Coal Gasification and Related Technology Innovation Development Conference in Beijing from July 29 to 30, 2016.
