Let’s discuss why the emergency pressure relief test reduced the pressure before pre-conditioning – shouldn’t normal presulfurization result in a higher pressure, which in turn would help improve the sulfuration rate???
Excess sulfur content leads to excessive heat release and rapid temperature rise, which can easily cause the reaction temperature to soar and result in other accidents; I needn’t go into further detail.
The sulfidation process is a highly exothermic process; moreover, a lower pressure results in a lower circulation rate
