The 10 cities with relatively good air quality in April (ranked from 1st to 10th) are: Haikou, Huizhou, Zhongshan, Lishui, Zhuhai, Shenzhen, Jiangmen, Xiamen, Zhoushan, and Dongguan ； In May, the cities were: Haikou, Huizhou, Xiamen, Zhuhai, Shenzhen, Zhongshan, Lishui, Nanning, Urumqi, and Kunming. 　　The concentrations of major pollutants in Beijing have decreased compared to the same period last year. The number of days with good air quality decreased in April, while it increased in May. In Beijing, the proportion of days with good air quality in April was 53.3%, a decrease of 3.4 percentage points compared to the previous year ； The proportion of good weather days in May was 61.3%, up 3.2 percentage points year-on-year. The PM2.5 concentrations in April and May were 68 and 54 micrograms per cubic meter respectively, showing a year-on-year decline of 5.6% and 3.6% ； The PM10 concentrations were 110 and 82 micrograms per cubic meter, showing year-on-year declines of 3.5% and 11.8% respectively ； The O3 excess rates were 13.3% and 35.5%, showing a year-on-year decrease of 3.4 and 3.2 percentage points respectively. 　　 The air quality in 338 cities at the prefecture level and above has generally improved. In April and May, the average proportion of days with good to excellent air quality in 338 cities at the prefecture level and above was 82.4% and 82.9% respectively, an increase of 2.4 and 3.1 percentage points on a year-on-year basis. The PM2.5 concentrations were 42 and 38 micrograms per cubic meter, representing a year-on-year decline of 8.7% and 11.6% respectively ； The PM10 concentrations were 87 and 79 micrograms per cubic meter, showing year-on-year declines of 7.4% and 3.7%, respectively. 　 　 In the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei region, the average proportions of days with good air quality in 13 cities were 54.0% in April and 62.5% in May, representing increases of 2.4 percentage points and 5.1 percentage points respectively on a year-on-year basis. The PM2.5 concentrations were 58 and 47 micrograms per cubic meter, representing a year-on-year decline of 13.4% and 16.1% respectively ； PM10 concentrations were 130 and 96 micrograms per cubic meter, showing year-on-year declines of 1.5% and 12.7% respectively ； The O3 excess rates were 11.4% and 30.5%, showing increases of 1.3 and 4.5 percentage points respectively on a year-on-year basis. 　　 In the 25 cities in the Yangtze River Delta region, the average proportions of days with good air quality in April and May were 77.0% and 77.8% respectively, an increase of 3.0 percentage points and 0.3 percentage points on a year-on-year basis. The PM2.5 concentrations were 46 and 42 micrograms per cubic meter, representing a year-on-year decline of 9.8% and 6.7% respectively ； The PM10 concentrations were 83 and 75 micrograms per cubic meter; it decreased by 5.7% on a year-on-year basis in April, while remaining unchanged in May ； The O3 excess rate was 16.1% and 18.2%, rising by 0.9 percentage points year-on-year in April and falling by 1.0 percentage points year-on-year in May. 　　 In the 9 cities of the Pearl River Delta region, the average proportions of days with good air quality in April and May were 98.1% and 87.1% respectively, remaining at relatively high levels. The PM2.5 concentrations were 31 and 27 micrograms per cubic meter, while the PM10 concentrations were 46 and 42 micrograms per cubic meter; both values met the **secondary annual average concentration standards** ； The O3 excess rate was 1.1% and 12.9%, dropping by 7.8 percentage points year-on-year in April and rising by 12.2 percentage points year-on-year in May.
