This post was last edited by lflsedin on 2016-6-16 08:51. As the title suggests, what are the advantages of using low-pressure gasification (around 1.0 MPa) to modify and replace conventional atmospheric-pressure gasification units for small and medium-sized nitrogen fertilizer production?
Are there any existing technologies for this purpose?
The simplest approach is to convert the current atmospheric-pressure fixed-bed furnace into a pressurized fixed-bed one, which can minimize investment costs and accommodate the existing types of coal.
Changing it to a pressurized version means that the pressure level of the subsequent system also has to be increased; in that case, it still cannot be used.
For the renovation, it’s necessary to ensure that the pressure is consistent with subsequent requirements, and the gas compressor should be removed.
