For the convenience of all maritime professionals, the attachments from the examination notice are posted here (original source: Professional Qualification Registration Center of the Ministry of Construction – Notice on Organizing the 2016 National Examination for Registered Engineers in Surveying and Designing http://www.pqrc.org.cn/show.aspx?ID=2079&cid=3&page=2): Requirements for taking the exam to become a registered chemical engineer: (1) To take the basic exam for registered chemical engineers, one must meet one of the following conditions: (i) Possess a bachelor’s degree or higher in this field or a related field. ⑵Hold an associate degree in this field or a related field, with at least 1 year of experience in chemical engineering design work. ⑶Hold a bachelor’s degree or higher in another engineering field, with at least 1 year of cumulative experience in chemical engineering design work. (II) To take the professional examination for registered chemical engineers, one must have passed the basic examination and meet one of the following conditions: (1) Having obtained a doctoral degree in this field, with at least 2 years of experience in chemical engineering design work ； Or, after obtaining a doctoral degree in a related field, having worked in chemical engineering design for a total of 3 years. ⑵After obtaining a master’s degree in this field, have accumulated at least 3 years of experience in chemical engineering design work ； Or, after obtaining a master’s degree in a related field, having worked in chemical engineering design for a total of 4 years. ⑶Having obtained a double bachelor’s degree including in this field, or having completed a graduate program in this field, and having accumulated at least 4 years of experience in chemical engineering design work ； Or obtain a double bachelor’s degree in a related field, or complete postgraduate studies, and have accumulated at least 5 years of experience in chemical engineering design work. ⑷After obtaining a bachelor’s degree from a university that has passed the evaluation for education in this field, having worked in chemical engineering design for a total of 4 years ； Or, after obtaining a bachelor’s degree from a university that has not passed the evaluation for education in this field, having worked in chemical engineering design for a total of 5 years ； Or, after obtaining a bachelor’s degree in a related field, having worked in chemical engineering design for a total of 6 years. ⑸After obtaining an associate degree in this field, have accumulated at least 6 years of experience in chemical engineering design work ； Or, after obtaining an associate degree in a related field, having worked in chemical engineering design for a total of 7 years. ⑹Having obtained a bachelor’s degree or higher in another engineering field, with at least 8 years of cumulative experience in chemical engineering design work. (III) As of December 31, 2002, those who meet one of the following conditions may be exempted from the basic exam and only need to take the professional exam: (1) Having obtained a doctoral degree in this field, with at least 5 years of experience in chemical engineering design work ； Or, after obtaining a doctoral degree in a related field, having worked in chemical engineering design for a total of 6 years. ⑵After obtaining a master’s degree in this field, have accumulated at least 6 years of experience in chemical engineering design work ； Or, after obtaining a master’s degree in a related field, having worked in chemical engineering design for a total of 7 years. ⑶Having obtained a double bachelor’s degree including in this field, or having completed a graduate program in this field, and having accumulated at least 7 years of experience in chemical engineering design work ； Or, having obtained a double bachelor’s degree in a related field or graduating from a graduate program, with at least 8 years of experience in chemical engineering design work. ⑷Having obtained a bachelor’s degree in this field, with at least 8 years of cumulative experience in chemical engineering design work ； Or, after obtaining a bachelor’s degree in a related field, having worked in chemical engineering design for a total of 9 years. ⑸After obtaining an associate degree in this field, have accumulated at least 9 years of experience in chemical engineering design work ； Or, after obtaining an associate degree in a related field, having worked in chemical engineering design for a total of 10 years. ⑹Having obtained a bachelor’s degree or higher in another engineering field, with at least 12 years of cumulative experience in chemical engineering design work. ⑺After obtaining an associate degree in another engineering field, having worked in chemical engineering design for a total of 15 years. ⑻After obtaining an associate degree in this field, have accumulated at least 25 years of experience in chemical engineering design work ； Or, after obtaining a secondary vocational diploma in a related field, having worked in chemical engineering design for a total of 30 years. (IV) This major, related majors, and other majors ⑴ This major: ① Chemical Engineering and Technology ； ②Polymer Materials and Engineering ； ③Engineering of Inorganic Non-metallic Materials ； ④Pharmaceutical Engineering ； ⑤Light Chemical Engineering ； ⑥Food Science and Engineering ； ⑦Bioengineering. ⑵Related majors: ① Process Equipment and Control Engineering ； ②Environmental Engineering ； ③Safety Engineering. ⑶Other majors: Engineering majors other than this major and related majors.
