I would like to ask: can sulfur dioxide gas cylinders be directly heated with steam?
All gas cylinders must be prevented from heating up. Have you considered what happens to those cylinders? Have you thought about the destructive effects that can occur when the pressure inside them is released?
Liquefied gases absorb heat during vaporization. If the gas release rate is high, the rate of heat absorption during vaporization exceeds the rate at which heat can be obtained from the environment, resulting in a slower vaporization rate and a reduced gas release rate. The liquefied gas needs to be heated. Larger containers are equipped with vaporizers, while smaller cylinders are sometimes heated directly; other methods include heating by the thermal radiation of a furnace, hot air heating, water bath or oil bath heating, and steam heating, which is also an option. Care should be taken when heating, taking the saturated vapor pressure into account
Steam heating is an optional approach. But heating is difficult to control, especially with liquefied gases. It is best to use hot water for heating, as it offers better safety.
