According to Appendix B of NB/T 47014, it is also possible to classify the base material and welding materials separately; I’d like to see how other professionals in this field handle it. Thank you
If this standard material is frequently used in the country and can be manufactured there, then there is no need for a welding procedure qualification; however, if it is a relatively new type from abroad or has not been used before in the country, such a qualification is necessary. As I understand it, weld procedure qualification is something that each company must carry out on its own. If your company does not have any procedure qualification data for this material in its database, it means that a new procedure qualification must be conducted.
