Could some expert please introduce Emerson’s drives? I couldn’t find much information online

What is the difference between a CT drive and an inverter?
Inverters are used in speed control circuits; they can enable continuous adjustment of the frequency within a set range as required, which can be considered a form of \"analog\" control; The driver controls the device to move in forward, reverse, on, or off modes based on preset or inputted position signals; its output is equivalent to a \"digital signal\", and this is the most fundamental difference between these two types of devices.
Does that mean the driver needs a feedback signal? It does not involve speed control; it simply serves to start or stop the device?
