What is the cause of wear through the quench ring in a 6.5 MPa Texaco furnace?

The cooling ring in our unit’s water-coal slurry gasifier has worn out after just half a year of use, and we haven’t been able to find a solution to this problem. How long have you all been using it? What is the drainage volume of the gasifier and the scrubber tower?
It is necessary to determine whether the damage is caused by abrasion or ablation. If it is abrasion, the issue should be analyzed in terms of the flow rate designed for the pipeline and the filtering efficiency of the quench water filter; otherwise, how could abrasion occur? I have been in charge of the water-coal slurry gasification process since 2004, and I have worked on several such systems, some operating at 4.0 MPa and others at 6.5 MPa, and I have never observed any cases where the quenching rings were worn through.
