　I. Situation of major and severe accidents No especially severe accidents occurred; the figure remained the same as the previous year, with 1 accident and 35 victims fewer compared to the previous period. 　　There was 1 major accident resulting in 26 deaths; the number of accidents remained the same compared to the previous year, while the death toll increased by 15. The number of accidents remained unchanged on a month-to-month basis, with the death toll increasing by 13. 　　At around 22:00 on July 1, in Baodi District, Tianjin, 24 kilometers and 300 meters down the Jinji Expressway, a bus collided with the guardrail before falling into a riverbank channel, resulting in 26 deaths. 　　II. Situations of Major Accidents 　　1. Coal Mines 　　(1) At 5:20 on June 29, a water inrush accident occurred at Tiedingyan Coal Mine in Zheng’an County, Zunyi City, Guizhou Province, resulting in 5 deaths and 2 people missing. 　　(2) At 22:53 on July 2, a water inrush accident occurred at the Nakamura Coal Mine of Qinhe Energy Group in Qinsui County, Jincheng City, Shanxi Province, leaving 4 people trapped (8 others have been located and are under rescue). 　　(3) At around 4 a.m. on July 3, a water inrush accident occurred at the Hongcai Coal Mine of Guineng Investment Co., Ltd. in Shuicheng County, Liupanshui City, Guizhou Province, resulting in 6 people missing. 　　2. Metal and non-metal mines: At 12:30 on July 3, an explosion occurred at an illegal limestone mining site in Wulaqian Banner, Bayannur, Inner Mongolia, resulting in 6 people missing. 　　3. Commerce and Trade At 3:40 on June 29, a fire broke out in a building materials market in Menglian County, Pu’er City, Yunnan, resulting in 3 deaths. 　　4. Road transport industry: 10 incidents occurred, resulting in 37 deaths; this represents a decrease of 3 incidents and 10 deaths compared to the previous period. 5. Other industries: At 14:40 on June 29, an explosion occurred at Ningbo Renewable Resources Co., Ltd. in Zhenhai District, Ningbo City, Zhejiang Province, resulting in 3 deaths. 　　III. Key Features and Warnings Regarding Work Safety Last Week The total number of work safety accidents last week decreased both on a year-on-year and month-on-month basis. However, the number of serious accidents increased on both a year-on-year and month-on-month basis, and one major road traffic accident occurred. 　　Precautionary measures: Draw profound lessons from the particularly serious bus fire accident that occurred on June 26 in Chenzhou, Hunan, conduct thorough investigations into potential hazards in the transportation sector, and carry out focused inspections of vehicles belonging to the \"two types of passenger transport and one type of hazardous goods transport\" sectors (road passenger transport, tourist passenger transport, and hazardous chemicals transport enterprises). In light of the characteristics of summer, special attention should be paid to the periods in the late afternoon at night to prevent fatigue-related driving; to rainy days during the flood season to avoid rollovers and crashes; to events and competitions to prevent driving under the influence of alcohol; and to the period when students are on vacation to prevent illegal overloading of vehicles. All efforts must be made to maintain stability in traffic safety during the summer season.
