Tap water can be used, as industrial sodium chloride is not very pure to begin with; it would be a waste to use water that has undergone further treatment for this purpose.
Tap water is used on-site. If the owner insists on using RO-treated water, at the very least carbon-filtered water should be used. It was also said that tap water cannot be used as a source of water for regeneration in such projects. Thank you for the reply.
Our company uses soft water as reclaimed water; using RO water in combination with it is a bit wasteful.
The owner has the money to be arbitrary; it’s probably a state-owned or central-state enterprise, right? If it’s a private enterprise that is concerned about operating costs, then it’s sufficient to ensure that it can function.
The water output from a first-stage softener is sufficient; there is no need to use RO-treated water. Another point is that the saltwater concentration should be kept at 6-8%,; 10% is not necessary. Of course, if the concentration is 10%, it’s also possible to use raw water to dissolve industrial salt, but the concentration must not be lower than 10%. Raw water from the northern regions is not suitable for this purpose, while that from the southern regions can be used.
