Which factories, and which aspects of those factories are prone to fires caused by static electricity? In hazardous chemical plants, static electricity is not visible; which types of factories suffer the most from static electricity issues, such as those handling styrene? Storage and transportation? At which stage in the factory is it easy for static electricity to generate sparks? Please give me some advice, as we have developed electrostatic monitoring equipment and are looking for potential markets for it
The market for this product is huge; every corner of the petrochemical industry is potentially at risk from static electricity.
Therefore, in explosion-proof areas, the slightest carelessness can lead to danger. All we can do is to follow the requirements outlined in the relevant documents strictly in order to avoid such risks!
When the weather is dry, there’s static electricity even when walking. Therefore, many static electricity piles are installed at the device site. Material pipelines also generate a significant amount of static electricity; therefore, it is necessary to check that the static electricity shielding wires between the flanges are in place!
First-hand experience: An explosion occurred in a reaction vessel (used for pharmaceutical intermediates). The grounding network in the explosion-proof area had no release points, which led to the ignition of flammable gases; as a result, one workshop was destroyed. We were at the entrance at the time and were completely shocked
