When the system is running, aeration in the MBR tank is active 24 hours a day. When the system is shut down, aeration operates for 2 hours and then stops for 2 hours, in this cycle. I’ve done some research, and it turns out that aerobic activated sludge can survive without aeration for over 2 weeks. I would like to ask whether, during the 1-month period when the system is not in use, it’s possible, with proper operation, to run the aeration system just twice in order to prevent too much loss of activity in the activated sludge
