The local atmospheric pressure is 97 kPa. If the safety margin for the pump’s installation height is not taken into account, which of the following values represents the calculated installation height (in meters) for this pump? It is known that the saturated vapor pressure Pv of this medium at 75°C is 49 kPa, and its density is 890 kg/m3. The net positive suction head available (NPSHa) for this pump system is 3.0 m. I believe Hg = (P1-Pv)/pg – NPSHa – Hf – 0.5. Is that correct?
