What causes something similar to sulfur to be separated out from the gas liquid separation tank?

Our gas comes from gas cabinets; it mainly consists of catalytic dry gas and coking dry gas, as well as some vent gases! The yellow substances led by the leader are sulfur; we were also asked to measure the hydrogen sulfide content ourselves. I don’t understand how it is formed!
Because there is oxygen in the gas, over the past few years, as the requirements for desulfurization have increased, we have continuously discovered patches of sulfur in areas where it was not seen before.
When hydrogen sulfide is not oxidized completely, sulfur is produced. Sulfur is not a problem, but what’s most concerning is the formation of ferrous sulfide.
Does this oxidation reaction require temperature?
Sulfur recovery units have temperature requirements because they need a sufficiently high reaction rate. Based on practical experience, hydrogen sulfide can be oxidized to elemental sulfur at room temperature. It is in these past few years that large amounts of sulfur have been found on the tank walls in the gas phase area at the tops of our sulfur-containing wastewater tanks and sulfur-containing sludge oil tanks, as well as on some openings in the equipment.
It didn’t occur before; was it because of the low hydrogen sulfide content?
