What could be the reasons for large fluctuations in the flow rate of the low-oil pump? Ask the elders to let me know
Our system also experiences fluctuations of around two tons. The reasons for these fluctuations are: first, the calibration of the flow meter; second, whether the flow rate meets the design value specified for the lean liquid pump – if it is close to that value and less flow is sufficient, then the minimum flow setting can be used; third, checking whether there is something wrong with the pump; fourth, monitoring whether there are any fluctuations in the pressure of the desulfurization tower, in order to respond promptly to any pressure changes
Senior, I’ve checked it now – the pump impeller and shaft are both normal! The flow stabilized after it was directed to the backup pump!
The flow meter should be fine; it’s a remote-transmitted meter, with no meter on-site.
Then check the pump carefully; if the pump is fine, check the filter at the pump’s inlet. Since switching pumps doesn’t cause any problems, it means the original pump is the one with an issue. It’s recommended to have the manufacturer come and inspect it. What I mean is that the instruments should be used to correct the flow meter – after all, the flow rate is measured remotely, not at the actual location! Once it’s confirmed that the form is fine, then look for other reasons!
