I am working on a project that utilizes the waste heat from circulating water for heating, and a high-temperature heat source is required. I would like to ask the experts whether the coking process generates hot water at 90°C. Or that section requires hot water at 90°C. Thank you
Oh, it only knows about catalytic production in the petrochemical industry and polypropylene plants; However, it seems that this is less cost-effective than utilizing the waste heat from low-pressure steam.
In both cases, there is ORC low-temperature power generation, with temperatures around 150°C; the economic benefits of specific projects are not clear. In my current situation, there is waste heat from the circulating water, with a temperature of over 40 degrees; the main investment goes into the equipment.
In coking wastewater, the ammonia-vaporizing wastewater generated by the ammonia-vaporizing tower in the ammonia vaporization section has a temperature of over 90°C, and this wastewater can be used for heating using its residual heat. However, it is necessary to take into account the corrosive nature of this wastewater; yet due to its low ammonia content, its corrosivity is quite low.
Generally, with 95°C hot water and a flow rate of 200 tons, it is possible to use an ORC system, and the efficiency is fairly good. It mainly depends on the customer's needs.
